CLASSIC RAPTOR VINTAGE ENGLISH SADDLE WHISKEY SHELL CORDOVAN 20/16, $1295.00
The CLASSIC RAPTOR was introduced in 2009 shortly after I started making custom watch straps. The idea was to create a stylish low profile cuff style strap that would accommodate high-end sports watches in different sizes.
Originally offered only in Horween Shell Cordovan due to its unique properties and exquisite comfort, the Raptor went through countless variations in different leathers and exotics over the years and would soon become a popular choice to wear with dressier watches as well.
Essentially, the Raptor is offered in 4 different versions;
MINI RAPTOR XL:
- Narrow 26mm base pad with Rallye style perforated straps.
- Narrow 26mm base pad with non-perforated straps.
CLASSIC RAPTOR:
- Wider 34.5mm base pad with Rallye style perforated straps.
- Wider 34.5mm base pad with non-perforated straps.
As the straps are sewn onto the base pad, each Raptor listed here is optimized for either a watch of 39-42mm in diameter, or 33-38mm in diameter. The main difference is the distance between each mounted strap.
FOR SALE:
CLASSIC RAPTOR with deep burnt tan straps made from a vintage riding saddle over ultra-thin (1.0mm) whiskey Horween Shell Cordovan base pad (34.5mm).
The straps are 20mm at the lugs, 16mm at the buckle.
Strap length is 114/75mm for a wrist size of up to 7”.
This Classic Raptor will accommodate watches of up to 40mm in diameter.
Quick Release spring bars have been installed for easy installation.
The ultra-thin single layer base pad guarantees comfort without comparison as the bottom edges are rounded and burnished, keeping the base pad from cutting into the wrist.
Straps are hand stitched and thin with a nice pliability to them. Lined with tan French calf skin, the bottom of the straps are also rounded and burnished.
Edges and holes are hand painted and burnished as well.
The result is an entirely handmade original creation which is unique and requires almost no break-in period at all.

A beautiful vintage saddle Raptor with just the right amount of surface crackling and texture with years of life and joy left in it.
